<br>Argent makes green roadway fuel by and [residues](https://www.zoominfo.com/c/mission-newenergy/346542889) such as [utilized cooking](https://stocktwits.com/symbol/MNEL) oil and tallow from the meat industry.<br>
<br>The company will remain in private ownership and will continue to run separately.<br>
<br>Its senior management, including chairman Andy Hunter, [managing director](https://www.pinterest.com.au/missionnewenergy/) [Jim Walker](https://www.pinterest.com.au/missionnewenergy/) and [monetary](https://pitchbook.com/profiles/company/51278-86) [director Jim](https://www.businessnews.com.au/Company/Mission-NewEnergy) Boyd are to remain with the [company](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1463471/000165495419013063/R31.htm).<br>
<br>Souter Investments, the [personal investment](https://biodieselmagazine.com/articles/felda-global-buys-missions-kuantan-port-plant-for-11-5-million-9053) firm of transportation magnate Sir Brian Souter, confirmed it had actually sold its 37% stake in Argent.<br>

<br>Argent was developed in 2001. In 2009 it was purchased by a consortium which included senior management together with Souter Investments.<br>
